The Cliff Hotel & Spa, Negril

A standard for jerk cannot be set in a ballroom. It has to be set where the culture actually lives, on a cliff above the same water that has always fed it.

A Setting That Makes the Case Itself

Most competitions rent a neutral room and call the choice unimportant. We made the opposite choice on purpose. The Cliff Hotel & Spa sits on the same West End coastline that shaped the dish this Championship exists to define: salt air, wood smoke, and open water with nothing between it and the horizon.

A hotel ballroom would have been easier to book. It would also have undercut the entire premise. If the standard is meant to be Jamaican, the ground it stands on has to be too.

On The Property

Built Into the Cliffs, Not Beside Them

Cliffside Infinity Pools

Carved into the rock and built to disappear into the horizon, the property’s pools are as much a part of the view as the water beyond them.

Cave Dining

A private dining experience set inside the property’s natural caves, where the setting does as much of the work as the plate.

Getting There

The Cliff Hotel & Spa sits on the West End of Negril, roughly 75 to 90 minutes by road from Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay, Jamaica’s main international gateway. Transportation details for confirmed guests and ticket holders will be shared closer to the event.

The Championship and The Jerk Experience both take place here, December 4 to 7, 2026.
