The Jerk Experience is a shared cultural gathering built around food, fire, and time. It takes place alongside the Jamaica Jerk Chicken Championship, but it is not judged and it is not competitive. The Experience is about being present, contributing, and spending time together around the fire in a way that feels natural rather than staged.

Cooks and cultural contributors who have a real connection to jerk, Jamaican foodways, or fire based cooking are invited to express interest. Participation may involve preparing food, sharing technique, or contributing in other hands on ways that allow guests to engage directly.

For many participants, being part of the Experience also includes the opportunity to earn from their involvement. How that works depends on the role and the contribution, but the intent is simple. Time, skill, and effort are respected.

The goal is to create an environment that feels generous and grounded rather than busy or transactional. Participation is curated with care for the setting, the rhythm of the Experience, and the respect shared around the fire.
